Giving Thanks

A few things I am thankful for

My wonderful, precious, healthy children. I am so thankful God blessed us with these two babies even though they make you want to pull your hair out once in a while. I love them more than you can imagine, a true joy.

Scott, the most wonderful husband. He works really hard so I can stay home and take care of the kids. He is so loving and giving. I don't know where I would be with out him.

I am also very thankful for all my family, immediate and extended. After this rough year I don't know what I would have done without their support and love.

I love you all, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and don't eat too much turkey!!!

Fabulous Fashion Boutique

If you are not familiar with Fancy Nancy and have a little girl I suggest you check out the a few of the books from the library. They are fabulous!!

Anyway, this weekend was yucky. The weather was awful and Allison was really bored. So being the genius, creative mommy I am, I made a Fabulous Fashion Boutique just for her. I took all her princess clothes and hung them on a rack just her size. Then I laid out some costume jewelry and shoes. Topped it off with a few hats and boas and Ta Da!!! a Boutique.

I also hung a sheet in the corner of the room for a dressing room so she had a place to "change" outfits. Of course it was never actually used that way. She would grab a dress and tell me "follow me to the dressing room" over and over and over again. If you have read Fancy Nancy and the Fabulous Fashion Boutique then you know where this came from.

I know when Scotty gets older he will not stand for playing fashion boutique so I have been trying to come up with some ideas for them to play together. Luckily I have a year before he realises what is going on.

And to leave you with...here is a picture of Allison the Ballerina. She designed the outfit herself, no help from mommy (she even put the shoes on herself). I believe we have a fashionista on our hands.

The Blame Game

It's already started.

Blaming her brother for things.

I think it's pre-programmed in siblings.

Brother ate her cookies, while he was sleeping no less...amazing.

Beautiful Autumn Day

Since it was such a beautiful day (77 degrees) and Allison wanted to wear a fancy dress, I decided to take a few pictures of my two precious babies. Even though they are both sick with colds (Allison more so than Scotty) they still needed some fresh air.

Enjoy some fall portraits.

What's Up??

Well mot very much. Things have been calming down around here since Halloween, but we are gearing up for Thanksgiving & Christmas. Fall decorating is done, which means comfy blankets and cushy pillows on the couches, good smelling candles on the mantle, some of my ruby cut to clear collection on display, a fire burning and a warm and inviting home.

The kids and I have been playing inside alot since the weather has turned cold and rainy. Here is the line up of activities

Learning to play together, this is a tough one for Allison to wrap her head around, she actually has to share her toys with someone else, like OMG!!!

Like every good mom I let my kid play in the dryer, I mean doesn't everyone??? She gets hours of entertainment just from the echo when she yells inside. I just have to remember to check inside before I start the thing (only kidding).

A few car rides, can't you tell Scotty is super excited about this one.

We play ballerina. Allison always asks for mommy to dance, too cute. Thank goodness she doesn't realise mommy has no rhythm and has to rely on only one ballet routine that I memorized a long long time ago

And LOTS of this, sleeping in cool rainy weather is awesome and everyone has been well rested and in good moods.

Have a wonderful afternoon.

Halloween 2010

We started the day carving Allison's pumpkin.

BOO Scary!!! She thought the triangle nose was the scary part

Allison was a fairy princess, Grandma was fancy, Scotty & I were just dressed in black. He wore cute little pumpkin booties.

Scotty's first Halloween

We trick or treated around our neighborhood, but no one was home

so, off we went to Aunt Helen

and Uncle Lance's house (that is a wig I think)

Tyler was there, too...does that hair run in the family???

Gracie also, here she is with Scotty. She and Tyler are due in April with there first baby, we couldn't be happier for them.

Helen & I took Allison trick or treating around there neighborhood. Allison had a blast but did get scared a few times. When we got back to the house a few of the other girls were there.

I did have a beer, well part of one at least.

Allison & daddy after she had one too many Halloween cookies.

It was a great night and we all had fun and made Allison & Scotty's first Halloween experience memorable.

Now on to Thanksgiving...
