Fall

Every week the weather changes from "burrr, let's build a fire" to "where are my shorts it's flippin' hot".

I love it. On a cool fall afternoon, Allison and I decided to go hang out in the sunshine.

Have a great weekend and Happy Halloween!!!

Stevie Wonder Dance

It is really hard for me to say anything about this. I think it speaks for itself. I never knew she was a Sevie Wonder fan.
I think it is her best dance yet. The sunglasses add a little bit of humor. Too bad I can never get her to dance more than once to a song.
Left 4 Dead doesn't count, she has grown up with that music.

I hope that the movie brightened your day!

Pumpkin Patch, Sorta

We had big plans to go to the pumpkin patch (at least I did). We never went, I bought a few pumpkins at the store and brought them home.

I had high hopes that Allison would pose next to them in the most adorable way that would melt every ones heart, I got this.

After half an hour out in the backyard with the wind blowing so hard I thought Allison was going to fly away I decided to call it quits.

I think this really put the whole pumpkin patch thing into perspective, they are not that great and too expensive when you have a 16 month old who would rather play in the dirt and eat straw then pose with pumpkins.

Oh, I have to tell you the other night while I was making dinner she decided that the baby gate was no longer a gate but a climbing apparatus.

She never actually made it over but she sure had fun trying.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Thrill the World 2009 Chico, CA

First off I have to say sorry about the pictures. The City decided to build a new town square and didn't spend too much time with the planning commission. The acoustics suck, the sun is always in your eyes and the fountain is recirculated water that has caused a few things to go bad like people getting sick and what not.

But anyway we went and watched the "THRILL THE WORLD 2009" down at the good ol' city center and had fun.

Grandma and her friend Zoe were zombies and they looked great in there makeup.

I saw a lot of great zombies out there but was too short to see over all the people so I didn't see the dance or get many pictures until after the performance.

I got to meet this really great "Michael Jackson". She looked great.
This is Elizabeth as Michael...great job!!!

I also tired to get a few words from the lady who had put the dance together. I believe her name is Kathy. She was really busy with an interview so I just snapped her picture (I hope you don't mind...you did a great job with the whole thing)
I met her at the Palio, she was running the "Thrill the World" booth, here she is in full zombie costume.

All in all it was a great performance from what I could hear since I was too short to see it. I hope they do it again next year. Allison and I are ready to dance. We even tried on some zombie makeup.

At least Allison did. She makes the cutest...I mean scariest...zombie.

getting spooked by grandma zombie

even little zombies need some play time with daddy

Thrill the World was great...I hope they made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. I will try and find out and let all of you out there in Zombie Land know,
Good Night.

S'mores

When you feed a 1 1/2 year old s'mores you have the biggest mess. When you feed a s'mores to a 1 1/2 year old who doesn't like to have her face washed well, you have the stickiest, gooiest thing ever.

what is this, it's pretty good

let me get some of that right there

a little gooey, but getting better

this is freakin' fabulous, we need to have these again

She never ate the graham crackers, only the filling. By the time she was finished there was a very sticky spot on the carpet that I could never find until I walked through it, for like the 100th time, since marshmallows blend very good with white carpet. And my pants had a marshmallow chocolate hand print that conveniently attracted every bit of dust and dirt I came in contact with so no dusting this week...yeah!!!

Left 4 Dead Dance

Left 4 Dead, an intense zombie game, not appropriate for children. Except our child who, for some reason, loves to dance to the music that comes on after you close the door to the safe room. Allison was helping me with dinner last night and every time they made it to a safe room she would run out of the kitchen and dance. I finally got it on film. She is a little delayed but, she applauds herself when she is done.

The Night the Lights Went Out

Power was out last night. It sucked. It was boring. Everyone was bored, even Allison. With the lights out and no video games blaring in the background it is hard to find something to do. We made dinner in the dark, ate in the dark, gave Allison her bath in the dark (I had to shine the light in her face to make sure I got all the spaghetti sauce off, she smeared it all over her face and hair).

Scott and I were glancing at some magazines and Allison decided she wasn't going to be ignored so she did this.

If you can't guess what's coming next, brace yourself for the shocking conclusion...

Here's a close up if you couldn't tell what was going on.

Instead of making her get down to a safe level I ran and got the camera, because people, I have to show all of you on the internet what an adventerous kid I have.

She climbed up there all by herself, she wasn't sitting in it, if thats what you are thinking. We have decided we are going to put it out back and use it as a jungle gym.

To top it off
Here's a quote from Allison
"It really sucks eating in the dark, I mean really, who wants to eat something you can't see. I would rather rub it all over myself."

5 Things

Five things that went on this weekend. I was going to do ten but, I couldn't think of that many. It's too rainy and cold to think and I am sleepy and just want to cuddle up and rest. So 5 will have to do.

1. Allison likes marshmallows but only if they are melted and in smores...never whole...eeeewwww
2. Being this good looking can get you anything you want, she got a pink piggy bank from one of the ladies at our bank.

3. The best thing in the world, Allison has discovered is a screen door. She spent most of Saturday night playing with the screen door at a dinner we went to.

4. Vintage toys rock. Especially when you run as fast as you can dragging it behind you...it's so fun & it makes noise when you do it...alot of noise.

5. Climbing on tables with a dress on is only ok if you are a toddler, if I did it people might start tipping me

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

A Leg Up, so to Speak

Dinner last night was interesting. We were still eating when Allison finished so she decided to entertain herself. We were cracking up.

Enjoy the weekend.

Winterizing

I have been going through Allison's clothes and packing away summer stuff and things she has out grown. I found a few jackets and tried one of them on her, just adorable.

I love fall and winter. I started decorating for Halloween a bit and have decorated our room for fall/winter season. Next, we move on to Allison's room and finish that up. Then to the living room/dining room. I have big plans for that room. Something totally different that won't cost any money.

Alright, enough talking here are a few pictures to get you through the weekend. Scott has to work this weekend so who knows what trouble Allison and I will get into but we will be sure to let you know!!!
comfy place to sit...on the diaper bag

Don't Bother Me

I forgot to post this yesterday. It goes to show you that independence or locking ones self in the bathroom is right around the corner. I just hope I remember where the key is.

sorry for the quality, didn't have time to flip on the light

I Am Published

Well, yesterday I mentioned that I will be contributing to a blog...I was wrong, it was a website, and they are going to be publishing my article!!!
We had play group today and it was fun. Allison and I were the only ones to show up today, one of the other moms couldn't make it, oh well, next week.
The group leader is also looking for someone to take over as group leader and I am really thinking about it but, with this new writing thing I am not sure I will have the time. I am really looking forward to hosting play group at my house though, I love entertaining and it will be fun when it's my turn.

Alright now for some Allison stuff.

had to post this one again for daddy
BOOM HEAD SHOT!!!!

She has claimed the love seat as her own.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day
