Thankgiving 2009

We had a bunch of fun on Thanksgiving. Of course we all ate too much. I actually had 2 servings of homemade macaroni & cheese and my stomach just popped, then I had some pie to top it off because I can't resist chocolate cream pie. It reminds me of a Homerun Pie.

I put up the tree and wrapped a few presents the day after and Allison just fell in love with the lights and ornaments.

She actually stole a present from under the tree and took it into the hallway to try and open it. She can hardly wait. This year is going to be so fun.

We took a few holiday pictures this weekend as well. She got to dress up in some fancy dresses and get her picture taken. She never sat still long enough for a decent picture so I always take some candid shots. I just love this dress.

She has been trying to take her clothes off. She got her head stuck in her shirt. She finally wiggled her head out and pulled the whole thing off. I did catch her tugging at her pants. In no time I am going to have a nudist running around.

I was getting a new table out of storage and had moved the chairs away from the table. I was putting some stuff in the kitchen and found my darling monkey standing in the middle of the table looking out the window.

Thankful

I am very thankful I have a loving and supportive family. It really makes me happy to think that life has improved 110% since we created our own family and can pass on our values and love to our precious daughter.
I am thankful to have Allison in my life, it will never be the same again. I know that having her in my life has changed me in a way that is so hard to describe. Selfishness, ego and shyness are gone and I am now filled with unconditional love, a passion for life full of fun and activity and excitment and a sense of family togetherness I have never felt. It is awesome.

I am thankful that I have a wonderful husband that works hard so I can stay home with Allison. Here is where it is going to get a little cheesey he is the love of my life, my best friend and my weighted companion cube (a little geek humor). I love you.

I am also thankful to have these people in my life. Without them I don't think I would be where I am today.

My Mom of course

And Dad, too

My Mother in Law

my Sister...Hi Holly

And my Grandpa

I love all of you and it makes me happy that you are my Family.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Have a great holiday and hope you all eat lots of stuffing and pecan pie (my two favorite things).

This One's For You

Finally feeling better.
You know what people do when they are sick and bored?
This.

Allison started it so I had to do it too.

Or you can dramaticly eat a bagel...no one does it better than Allison, life is so hard for me...

But hey I am good looking.

If you are still bored you can always eat a bowl of grapes or some pizza or even a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Also any of these various activities are fun to do when your sick.

read a book about kitties...Dewey the library cat. She loves the cover of the book, "Hi Buffy" as she waves to the orange kitty that looks nothing like our neighbors cat Buffy, except that it is a cat and every cat is a "Buffy"

trying to escape the from the house...at least she remembered her purse

read on the potty, and about knitting no less

sit in the clothes basket to help mom fold laundry, actually throwing it on to the floor in a sorting laundry kinda way and not a let me out of this basket mom or I will throw all the clothes on the floor way...for the record she did climb in herself so she could be carried back into the house

test the curtains ability to hold a 20 pound child. I stopped her berfore she started swinging from them

I hope you all have a great day. Sorry it took a while for me to update I need to get better and I finally am so that's all I have to say, uuuummmm... yeah, ok...goodbye. See you tomorrow.

Alive But Just Barely

We are very much alive or should I say surviving. We all have cold. We three are just a bunch of snot filled whiny people right now.
Allison doesn't seem so phased by being sick, she runs around and eats and plays like normal but bubbly mucus flows from her red snot encrusted nose constantly. I can't believe it. It is gross but any mom knows that you just wipe it with whatever is around be it the tissue crumpled in your pocket, the sleeve of your blouse, dads necktie or the neighbors cat, if it is within reach it is fair game.

I am going to go lay down now and let my snot and drool mingle while I sleep off this cold. I hope all of you are well and surviving this holiday season so far. I do have a ton of photos to post, maybe tomorrow, we'll see how I am feeling.
Anyway,
Good Night & God Bless!

I couldn't resist...here's one to tide you over

Just Wednesday

Absolutley nothing has been going on this week. This weekend on the other hand is going to be kinda busy. We are going to a retirment party for a friend, Scott's going shooting and Allison and I are going to do girly things, like paint our toes and gossip (she can't really talk yet but it's fun to pretend) and shop.

Anyway, let's get on to some pictures.

OK this first picture has a funny story behind it. One afternoon Allison was carrying around this paper bag. She was taking it everywhere she went. I was curious as to why. Then I peeked in and saw this...daddy's shoe.

Daddy's feet make the perfect recliner for gaming

Allison is playing with a cute little cowboy boot purse her grandma Carol got for her (Thanks Grandma Carol!!!). She loves it.

I hope all of you have a great day!!!

We Should Have Named Her Allison Mozart Comaneci

We went to gymnastics on Friday. Allison loved it. She definitely got all her wiggles out, nonstop action for an hour.

On Saturday we headed out to the Harvest festival. It was interesting. A very small 4-H petting zoo, a couple of yarn spinners, ag booths and tours of Bidwell Mansion. There were also tractors, some other farm equipment and the very recognizable horse. I think the most fun Allison had was playing in this blue quad car type thing and the bark...she loves her some bark.

Then on Sunday we went to Costco. A tradition of sorts. Anyway she loved the keyboard. She just had to help daddy play. She had a blast pushing all the buttons and keys.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

The Case of the Missing Jelly Jar

We baked cookies yesterday. An experiment of sorts. I am trying to perfect my strawberry cheesecake bars.
I was doing the dishes (I still do them by hand - no dishwasher) and it seemed very quiet.
The garbage was open and the jelly jar was missing. So I searched for the culprit. There she sat in the living room, on the white carpet, eating sour cherry jelly.
Dunking her hand in the little bit I left in the jar and licking it off. She was having a grand ol' time.
I tried to take it away. She jumped up and ran. Ran like a sprinter, with her jar of jelly, into the kitchen to hide by the wall.
I managed to wrestle it away, but it was too late. She was covered in jelly from head to toe.

Have a great weekend, we are off to gymnastics (in like, a couple of hours)!!!
