One Month to Go

Being 9 months pregnant is exhausting. I just woke up from a much needed almost 2 hour nap and I don't feel refreshed in the slightest.

This weekend daddy had to work so Allison & I stayed home and watched princess movies and goofed off.

Friday night we had to run some errands and get dinner (such a nice break from cooking all week). Allison was a bit dirty so I wanted to give her a quick bath.

Giving her a bath in the big tub is a real challange because of my belly, Scott gets her in and out. I put her in the kitchen sink, like when she was 6 months old. She has out grown it by a mile, but still so cute.

We opted for pizza that night, she ate a whole slice by herself. I honestly can not figure out where she puts all that food.

On Saturday we went to bring dad some Rockstar and lunch. He is working at his cousins house so Allison got to play around a bit. We ended up going over there twice that's why the outfit change.

Sunday, Grandma came over and took us out to frozen yogurt. Allison is now big enough to have her own little scoop. It was gone in a blink.
Then she said "need mo' ice cream"

On the baby front, I am Huge. Uncomfortable. Tired. My hips hurt and I have a few contraction like pains every once in a while.

I am SO happy that I only have about 4 weeks to go, but he can come anytime he likes. I am ready to go. Bags are packed, car seat is installed, freezer is stuffed, house is somewhat organized. He can come any day now and I would be ready.
Do you hear me little guy??? Any time is fine with me.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Misc. Pics

Here are a few pics from the dance we went to on Saturday. It helped to raise funds for The Paradise Dancers. All the dancers were awesome.
Before the show started they had free dancing for the audience and Allison had to take part. She loves to dance.

This morning we went to visit daddy at work. Allison was so clingy to Scott, which is rare. She was giving him hugs and wanted to be carried around the whole time, only by daddy.
She is really turning into daddy's little girl. SO precious!

Have a wonderful day!!

Almost Ready

Here's what I think of baby brother!!!

I finally have the freezer packed full of post pregnancy meals...at least a months worth of stuff. Thank goodness because I keep having dreams that the little guy is going to be here early.

I have most of my stuff packed for the hospital and Scott jr.'s stuff is ready to go. I do have a few things for Allison that I need to wrap (from her brother & to keep her busy at the long hospital visits). I also have some snacks and juice for Scott and Allison that need to go into the bag.

Other than that nothing is going on. We are trying to keep it low key around here. Plus I am SO big and it is SO hot that I am feeling exhausted and lazy. I really don't want to do anything except stay in the air conditioned house. Luckily Allison doesn't mind playing dress up or playing with dollies with me.

Hope you all have a great afternoon!!!

Wow, Time Flies!!!

The days have been going so quickly. I guess they are just packed full of stuff I never realized that it's been a while since I posted.

I have a date set for the new arrival around 39 weeks, thank God, now I can plan, plan, plan and maybe make a list or 2 to make doubly sure everything is ready.
Everything is fine on the baby front. I am exactly 35cm and that corresponds with the weeks so he is growing normally.

The heart beat is strong and he will not stop kicking my ribs or putting his butt in the air. I am still suffering from heartburn but hopefully he will drop soon and I can finally get over it.

This weekend was Holly's 30th birthday. I wished her a happy birthday in my prayers and prayed that she help watch over Allison & Scott jr. because she loved them so much. I really miss her.

We also went to Gloria's dance competition. "Dancing Fun" is all we heard on the way home from Allison. I think she enjoyed herself. (I will post pics of the dance tomorrow, I am tired and need to get some rest).

I have a really busy day planned tomorrow and for Wednesday as well.

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.

5 Weeks to Go!!!

If you haven't noticed I am really excited about the arrival of our new baby. The count down started a while ago but now that I only have a few weeks left I REALLY have to get everything ready.

I decided on a jogger stroller so I am buying that with a new moby wrap since I need one for the hospital (breast feeding is so much easier with a wrap).
I finished the BIG grocery list. I plan on going shopping next week and prepping all the food for a month.

I am still trying to figure out sleeping arrangments for everyone. We have plenty of beds but Allison switches from her bed to the crib every 3 nights or so. I guess she isn't quite ready to give up being the baby yet.

Isn't she so fancy in her "my fancy my dress" that is Allison speak for my fancy dress.

I see you!!!

Have a great day, now I am off to vacuum before Allison comes home.

Making Memories

This weekend was full of surprises and happy memories. I even got all the things on my list for this weekend done, and I didn't vacuum once...hehehe.

On Saturday we had dinner over at Helen and Lance's house.

Scott's cousin got a job at the local brewery so he and his wife are moving back to Chico. It was a nice celebration.
Allison always has fun over there & absolutley loves Helen (maybe because she serves ice cream for dinner but, that's just my guess).

On Sunday I received an email from my older sister Tammy. I haven't seen her in almost a decade. She was in town and wanted to meet Allison and catch up . I was nervous about seeing her again since it has been so long but, I gave her a call and we had a nice visit.

When we pulled up and she got out of the truck, I almost lost it. She looks SO much like Holly, could be her twin. Even talking with her was like talking with Holly, mannerisms and life experiences.
We talked about Holly and the last time we talked to her & cried a little bit, Dad and our Moms, the places we live, family, Allison and the arrival of Scott jr., trying to fit a decade of life happenings into an hour or so is difficult, but I think it was a good start.
Allison had no problem warming up to Tammy.

Maybe because of the resemblence. What do you think???
Either way it was nice for them to meet.

I am really glad that I had the chance to reconnect with her. I will not lose touch again.

I have to say it was a great weekend.
Did any of you have any surprises this weekend???

Friday, Hooray!!!

I have waited all week for Friday to come.

This is what I want to do this weekend.

I want to sleep in until 7:00.
I don't want to do any housework or laundry.
I want to take Allison to the park.
I want to make waffles for breakfast.
I want to take an afternoon nap without interruption.
I want to be lazy and rub my big baby belly.
I want to cuddle on the couch with Allison and watch Cinderella or Snow White.
I want to eat steak with potatoes and something green.
I want to snack on M&M's - the regular kind.
I want to drink 7up and juice mocktails.

But this is most likely how the weekend will end up.

I have a feeling we are going to be really busy, Allison will probably wake up at 6am, I will be too tired to make waffles, it will be too hot to go to the park, I know I will have to vacuum at least once this weekend (with a toddler you have to do it at least once or twice a day), I will forget to pick up some M&M's at the store, Allison will want to watch Olivia instead of Cinderella and my afternoon nap will not happen because Allison will refuse to sleep, making me pull out the last of the brown hairs on my head, because "DARN IT MAMA WANTS TO NAP, AHHHHHHH!!!!" but you know how it goes mommies are not allowed to nap.

Either way the weekend ends up I am just very happy that we get to spend it together and enjoy our time spent doing whatever we can as a family.

Have a great and relaxing weekend.
